A 31-year-old man who was on a crime spree last night in Mount Pearl, leaving break-open lotto tickets at the scene, has been arrested.

Police first started getting calls about the man trying to steal tools just after 11:00 last night. When the owner tried to confront the man, he took off on foot, leaving the pull-tab tickets behind.

Shortly thereafter, police received a report linking the man to an attempted break-in at another home.

911 then received a third call about the man, this time from the convenience store, saying someone had taken a full bin of break-open lotto tickets.

Finally, after the fourth call, the man had caused significant damage to a home, and police were able to arrive in time to arrest him. He was found with a quantity break-open tickets in his pocket.
