Srinagar- In an effort to promote healthy living and support the global campaign against heart disease – the world’s leading cause of premature death, the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) on Sunday organised a marathon run in Srinagar.

The event, jointly hosted by SKIMS’ Department of Cardiology and the Save Heart Foundation, flagged off at 6:30 a.m. from the Foreshore Road near Nishat, covering a distance of 5 kilometres.

The run was open to the general public and witnessed enthusiastic participation from nearly 200 people, including senior doctors, heads of departments, academicians, seasoned runners, and residents from different walks of life.

Participants were provided with free merchandise, along with breakfast and refreshments following the run.
