A 21-year-old man was killed and a suspect detained after an overnight shooting at a Deltona condo complex, the Volusia Sheriff's Office said.

The complex is located at 140 Orchid Woods Court.

Deputies responded to the complex shortly after 1 a.m. after multiple callers reported hearing gunshots and screaming.

VSO said the victim was found deceased with multiple gunshot wounds outside the door of a second-floor unit.

The suspect was seen on a doorbell camera, "providing an immediate and detailed suspect description for deputies on scene," VSO said.

Another deputy in the area spotted an individual matching the suspect description and took him into custody, VSO said.
