MARSHFIELD − The city of Marshfield and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation are planning improvements to East Fourth Street.

The project, set for construction in 2028, is in the preliminary planning stages, according to a community announcement. Robert E. Lee & Associates Inc., consulting engineers from Green Bay, are currently preparing preliminary plans.

A public involvement meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Sept. 30 at Marshfield City Hall, 207 W. Sixth St. The meeting will present the preliminary plans, discuss the proposed schedule and construction traffic control, and gather public input.

The meeting will begin with a short presentation, followed by a question-and-answer session. Representatives from the city and Robert E. Lee & Associates Inc. will be available to discuss
