Jim Goodwin has admitted his Dundee United stars need to use their Kilmarnock calamity as “a reality check”. ‌

On-form United were knocked off track after a 2-0 home defeat. ‌

Goodwin reckons too many of his players and his team, collectively, failed to hit the heights they had shown in previous games. ‌

Goodwin said: “It was a little bit of a reality check. “We have been getting lots of plaudits for our performances and Saturday showed that if you drop below those standards and you don’t do the basics in the Scottish Premiership then you are going to get punished.

“We are really frustrated and angry about the overall performance. “Particularly, the opening 45 minutes. “It was nowhere near what we have seen in recent weeks. “I thought we were a little too slow
