Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav doesn’t think he’s ‘out of form’ despite scoring only 72 runs in six innings at the 2025 Asia Cup. He said he’s only ‘out of runs’ because his rhythm and preparations have been on point.

Suryakumar started the tournament decently, going not-out for seven runs against the UAE and again with 47 runs against Pakistan. The next four chances resulted in 18 runs, and his average and strike rate dropped to 18 and 101.41, respectively. In the final on Sunday, he couldn’t read the slower one from Shaheen Afridi and ended up mis-timing a drive in the air to mid-off, getting out cheaply in the powerplay.
