NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Very humid air is still present across New Mexico with few pockets of rainfall dissipating in northern, central to southeastern areas, as well as the higher elevations. East-gap winds are a little bit gusty for some with patchy fog developing in the northern valley floors to the eastern parts of the region.
Around-freezing temperatures are confined to the Northern Mountain peaks to the far-northern valley floors, while elsewhere is mostly starting off in the 40s to the lower 60s.
West-southwesterly upper-level winds are starting to push the leftover Monsoonal moisture away in Northeast New Mexico, while the core of the jet stream is still to the north of New Mexico. Some rounds of Monsoonal thunderstorms will form in the mountainous areas today through southern to eas
