Monsoon season is coming to an end, both on the calendar and in our weather. Drier weather moves in Tuesday with temperatures warming into the end of the week.

Another round of showers and storms have developing Monday afternoon and are moving east/northeast across New Mexico. It's not quite as active as this weekend was, but a few of these storms are still dropping locally heavy rainfall and bringing gusty winds. These storms will end after sunset tonight.

A couple of very spotty rain showers will develop again Tuesday afternoon, but it will be significantly drier. Westerly winds start to bring in drier air Tuesday, signaling an end to the monsoon season this year. The monsoon season officially ends September 30th, so this is right on time.
