CUBA, N.M. (KRQE) – The village administrative offices in Cuba are closed after mold was discovered. The village said an environmental firm collected samples last Tuesday, and that mold and traces of asbestos were in the building. The village shut the offices down two days later, limiting access to inspectors and engineers.
During the closure, the village clerk and water department will move to the public library. officials are still finalizing where Cuba's Motor Vehicle Department and municipal court will operate. It's unclear when the administrative office will reopen, but the village is working on a plan to remove the mold.
