Several village administrative offices in Cuba, N.M. — including the municipal courts and public library — have closed to the public after high levels of mold and trace levels of asbestos were detected last week.
Cuba Mayor Denny Herrera on Friday announced the "discovery of elevated levels of mold and trace levels of Asbestos" in the town's administrative offices. The offices are closed indefinitely, he said.
The administrative offices affected include the senior center, public library, water and sewer department, motor vehicle department and the municipal courts. Cuba is a village around 110 miles northwest of Santa Fe.
