PANAJI/BICHOLIM: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has urged Goan youth to rethink their approach to employment, warning that relying on political contacts will not secure jobs. Speaking on the state of unemployment in Goa, he noted that while job vacancies exist, many young people focus only on government jobs, believing private sector roles lack security.

“We have to see whether unemployment is real or if it’s a matter of mindset. Youth should not expect jobs simply by meeting an MLA or the Chief Minister,” said Dr. Sawant.
