Well, hello everyone, and welcome to your WSIL weather update. We've got a very comfortable, seasonal pattern settling in across Southern Illinois and the surrounding Ohio Valley region as we move through the week. We are monitoring the atmosphere closely, and for the most part, the forecast looks quite stable. The big story continues to be the lack of any significant precipitation. We're expecting dry weather conditions to hold firm from now through the end of the week, which is certainly a welcome sight for many.

Temperatures are also something we're keeping an eye on. Right now, through the early part of the week, we'll be running a few degrees warmer than our typical averages for this time of year, topping out in the upper 80s under partly to mostly sunny skies. By mid to late week, w
