A Pontiac school teacher accused of sexually assaulting a girl related to him for seven years has been charged, officials said.

Brian David Hallock, 44, was arraigned Friday in 50th District Court in Pontiac, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said. He is charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct.

A judge set his bond at $100,000 cash and scheduled his next court hearing for Oct. 15. The judge also ordered Hallock to wear a GPS tether and banned him from having contact with anyone under age 18 if he posts bond, according to authorities.

Second-degree criminal sexual conduct carries a penalty of up to 15 years in prison.

Hallock's attorney, Khari Hatchett, was not immediately available for comment on Monday.
