LAKEWOOD, Ohio -- Lakewood City Schools -- for the third year in a row -- received 4 stars on the recently released Ohio Department of Education’s school report card.
“Going into every school year, we have the opportunity to ensure that our students continue to achieve and grow academically and emotionally,” Lakewood City Schools Superintendent Maggie Niedzwiecki said.
“We’re proud of the work our students and our teachers have done this past year. The report card reflects that. There are always areas for growth that will continue, but we feel good about receiving an overall district score of 4 stars.”
A few years removed from replacing a letter-grade system, the Ohio Department of Education’s star-based rating system includes overall ratings -- 3 stars means a district meets state sta
