Lewis Hamilton's pet dog Roscoe has died, the Formula One driver has confirmed.

The English Bulldog had been placed into a coma last week after catching pneumonia.

Hamilton made an emotional plea to fans as he provided an update on Roscoe's health.

However, he has now announced on social media that his beloved pet passed away on Sunday.

The Brit took to Instagram to reveal the devastating news with a series of snaps of the pair, including one of Roscoe as a puppy.

Alongside the photos, Hamilton wrote: "After four days on life support, fighting with every bit of strength he had, I had to make the hardest decision of my life and say goodbye to Roscoe.

"He never stopped fighting, right until the very end. I feel so grateful and honoured to have shared my life with such a beautiful
