A woman in southeastern China was miraculously rescued after accidentally falling into an abandoned well for more than two days. She managed to cling to the side of the well for 54 hours.
The 48-year-old, surnamed Qin, fell into the deep, weed-covered structure on September 13 while taking a walk in the woods near Quanzhou, Fujian province, according to a report by South China Morning Post (SCMP).
She battled severe exhaustion from clinging to the well wall, had to deal with constant mosquito bites, and was even bitten by snakes in the water.
Qin’s family filed a missing persons complaint after she failed to return home that evening. Her son alerted the Jinjiang Ruitong Blue Sky Emergency Rescue Centre about the incident, which later dispatched a team of ten rescuers equipped with drone
