One woman who has explored every English county has disclosed which she considers the finest.

England encompasses 48 counties, each differing in scale and natural terrain.

Whilst many regard England's most picturesque locations as being scattered along the nation's coastline, there are magnificent areas inland, boasting undulating countryside, lush verdant woodlands and tranquil waters.

According to one woman, Derbyshire stands out amongst those exceptional counties.

An online blogger, known by the pseudonym Slummy Single Mummy, documented her expedition across every English county, reports the Express .

She established the objective of exploring them all prior to reaching 40 years of age.

Having already experienced quite a number, she had several remaining to complete.
