Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Monday reacted to the Karur stampede calling it a “terrible” tragedy. In a video statement, Stalin said he continues to remain in deep sorrow, as the scenes he witnessed during his visit to the hospital are still fresh in his mind. He emphasised that such a tragic incident should never happen again. He also detailed the actions he took immediately after receiving the news and confirmed that the death toll has risen to 41.
