In a Truth Social post over the weekend, President Donald Trump accused former FBI Director Christopher Wray of lying about the FBI's presence when Trump supporters protested in Washington, D.C., and breached the U.S. Capitol during a riot on Jan. 6, 2021. Citing a report, the president said the FBI "secretly placed" 274 agents in the crowd to act as "agitators and insurrectionists" instead of law enforcement agents ahead of and during the protest.
