Newly-formed Tropical Storm Imelda is expected to become a hurricane by Tuesday afternoon as it veers away from the U.S., forecasters said Monday morning, though it is currently dumping rain and heavy winds on the Bahamas.

Hurricane Humberto, now a Category 4 storm, is also veering away from the U.S. Forecasters with the National Hurricane Center in Miami project Humberto making a northeast turn and weakening as of 7 a.m. Monday.

While missing a Bermuda landfall, Humberto could still bring tropical storm-force winds to the island Tuesday.

Neither storm poses a threat to Louisiana or the Gulf Coast.
