LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- If you've started shopping for Halloween decorations, you may have noticed that they're not cheap anymore!
From yard figures to hanging skeletons, today's displays can cost you as much as $1,000.
Now, those 12 ft. animatronic figures can cost anywhere from $200 to $400 each. Even a large blow up can cost over $100.
And remember, one is not enough. You may have to buy a whole family of ghouls to complete the yard!
Pumpkins now average over $5 each, and a small bag of candy is around $2.60.
Don't forget costumes too. The average price is $36, unless you build one yourself from Goodwill or Michael's.
The National Retail Federation is expecting Halloween spending to exceed $12 billion this year.
