FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ind. —

A teenager has died after a crash early Sunday morning in Franklin County, Indiana, according to deputies.

Officials say deputies and emergency personnel from the Blooming Grove Fire Department were dispatched to the 14000 block of State Road 1 around 4:30 a.m. Sunday. Advertisement

Deputies say arriving first responders located the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver has been identified as Ethan M. Heath, 17, of Laurel, Indiana.

Officials say a preliminary investigation shows Heath's vehicle was traveling northbound when, for reasons still under investigation, it left the east side of the roadway.

Deputies say Heath struck a culvert and driveway, went airborne, and rolled multiple times before coming to rest.
