Comedian Michael Che opened up about his viral run-in with Kanye West following the rapper’s controversial 2018 Saturday Night Live tirade.

During a candid interview on The Bonfire SXM this past Thursday (Sept. 25), Che, known for his sharp wit on SNL , revealed that he felt personally slighted after West accused the show of targeting President Donald Trump —and referenced Che indirectly in the process.

“I remember like everybody–we were trying so hard to accommodate him,” the New York native recalled.

“We were trying very hard. And then when that happened and he made it seem like we was bullying him, and I was like, ‘Why would you say that? Like, what happened that made you [feel] that way?'”
