LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky, bourbon, and U.S. history are on display at the Frazier History Museum.
For Hispanic Heritage Month, it’s introducing the new “Aflora” exhibit , showcasing new artwork from artists across Hispanic cultures from Mexico to Venezuela.
“We know these are trying times for the Latinx community. And so, we instead of focusing on deficiencies, focusing on needs, we are trying to elevate assets,” said Jason Berkowitz, the engagement specialist with Frazier. “We’re trying to celebrate what people have to offer, not what they lack. And so, during these trying times of Aflora is a demonstration of this resilience.”
Berkowitz said Aflora means “flourish.”
