INDIANAPOLIS -- Pacers coach Rick Carlisle has a reputation for running a tight ship and trying to minimize his teams' exposure to outside noise. However in 23 years as a head coach in the NBA, he's also learned that he can't micromanage everything and that playing in the NBA simply requires players and coaches to be able to handle the spectacle.
