SEQUIM — The Olympic Medical Center Foundation raised nearly $290,400 at its 23rd annual Harvest of Hope gala Saturday night at the Guy Cole Events Center in Sequim.
The fundraiser, presented by Sound Community Bank and the Arrow Marine Group, will support the OMC Cancer Center’s Patient Navigator Program, scholarships, and new technology for breast cancer surgery.
Among the purchases is a $175,000 3D Clarix Breast Specimen Imager, which gives surgeons real-time, 360-degree views of tumor margins during operations. OMC will be the first hospital in Washington to use the device.
