MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Officers in Montgomery County are calling on the community for assistance locating a missing man with autism.

The Montgomery County Police Department issued a "Purple Alert" for Brandon Lee Smith, 27, on Sept. 28.

Police said Smith was last seen around 3 p.m. on Sunday, near the 5400 block of McGrath Boulevard in Rockville.

He was wearing black jeans, a grey short-sleeve polo shirt with a dark green polo fleece.

According to MCPD's previous reports, Smith has been reported missing from Rockville five times since June.

Anyone who sees him should call 911 immediately.
