Syracuse, N.Y. — The Marcellus girls volleyball team has ridden a six-match winning streak all the way to the state’s No. 1 slot in Class B.

The Mustangs (7-1) inched up one spot in this week’s New York Volleyball Coaches Association state poll. The team has been perfect since a season-opening loss to Cicero-North Syracuse. That run includes a win over defending state champ Westhill.
