A Maryland Lottery player in Lanham struck gold over the weekend, winning $100,000 on a WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY FAST PLAY ticket.
Just days earlier, another lucky player in Temple Hills claimed a $100,000 prize on a crossword scratch-off.
The two six-figure wins topped a busy week for the Lottery, which handed out nearly $29.3 million in prizes statewide from Sept. 22-28. In that stretch, 21 tickets worth $10,000 or more were sold or redeemed.
