A one-alarm fire was put out at one row home on Lakeview Road near Wilmington on Sept. 29.

Members of the Wilmington Fire Department responded to the scene after a fire was reported at 8:23 a.m., taping off a part of where Lakeview meets Rodman Road, next to South Union Street.

The fire itself was contained, and the house was still standing. The bricks surrounding several windows were coated in black, and the roof above the front porch had caved in. The door, also slightly burned, lay flat in the front yard.
