AUSTIN, Texas — In December 1991, four teen girls were killed at an I Can't Believe It's Yogurt shop off West Anderson Lane in North Austin. The building was then set on fire.

The crime is often considered a defining tragedy in Austin's history, shocking the then-small city with violence many hadn't experienced before.

A lot has changed in Austin in the nearly 34 years since the murders – including the area where the yogurt shop was located, from the demolition of Northcross Mall to the business that currently calls 2947 W. Anderson Lane home.

Today, GLOW Nails Beauty Bar operates in the same spot. Outside, a memorial honors the four victims : 17-year-old Jennifer Harbison and her younger sister, 15-year-old Sarah Harbison; 17-year-old Eliza Thomas; and 13-year-old Amy Ayers.
