Two Republican candidates for governor are calling for their competitor, Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette, to take down an advertisement paid for by a political action committee.

Patriots for South Carolina, a super PAC that has put its backing behind Evette's campaign, paid for an advertisement that features video clips of Gov. Henry McMaster talking about Evette in 2017 when he picked her for his running mate. The video also included clips of President Donald Trump appearing to back the lieutenant governor.
