Steve Cohen just sent a long apology to Mets fans after epic collapse
The final few months of the MLB regular season were not a friend to the New York Mets , and it definitely showed after their 2025 campaign came to an end on Sunday.
Just a few days before the trade deadline on July 27, the Mets were coming off their seventh win in a row and carried a convincing 62-44 record. Just over two months later, they finished with an 83-79 record and were the last team to miss the NL Wild Card.
Disappointment is an understatement for the team carrying the second-highest payroll in all of Major League Baseball, and team owner Steve Cohen had a few things to say about the end of their season.
