Donald Trump is once again threatening higher tariffs on international films, which could impact the releases of highly anticipated films like Avengers: Doomsday, Dune 3, and The Odyssey. In May 2025, Donald Trump announced his plan to introduce a tariff on film productions made outside the United States, which, along with many of Trump's other political moves, left many concerned and confused. Despite no mention of the film tariff since the summer, it appears Trump is back at it again and does not have an outline in place.
