The Western North Carolina high school football season has crossed the threshold into the back half of the season .

Conference play is in full swing, which means it is crunch time for players building their cases for All-WNC Offensive Player of the Year. Ten candidates stand out among the pack, but they're far from the only ones who could take the throne at the end of the season.

It's time for the fans to help decide. Voting for the Ingles WNC football midseason Offensive Player of the Year will run through Friday at noon.

Tay Williams, Asheville High: Williams has impressed in his first four games starting for the Cougars. He has completed 78% of his passes for 558 yards, seven touchdowns and two interceptions.
