YORK COUNTY, Va. — A woman was arrested Friday afternoon after getting into a car crash in York County with "a significant quantity" of illegal drugs in her vehicle, the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office announced.
Deputies said at about 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, they were called to a two-vehicle crash in the 2400 block of Big Bethel Road in York County. When they arrived at the scene of the crash, they interviewed witnesses.
Witnesses told sheriff's deputies that a woman driving one of the vehicles involved in the crash had thrown something into the woods that were along the road. Deputies began to search the area that witnesses had indicated and discovered what they described as a "significant quantity" of illegal narcotics.
