Multiple suspects were arrested on Monday, September 22, after a dramatic smash-and-grab robbery at a jewelry store in San Ramon, California, according to law enforcement.

A California jewelry store was the target of a dramatic smash-and-grab when as many as 20 masked suspects stormed inside.

The San Ramon Police Department said the group targeted Heller Jewelers on Bollinger Canyon Road in a coordinated robbery that unfolded in seconds, with suspects smashing display cases and stealing numerous items before fleeing.

Several of the suspects were armed with guns and hammers, and at least one fired shots through the front entrance, according to authorities.

Police said they initially pursued the group but called off the chase to avoid putting the public at risk. Several arrests were made later, and no injuries were reported.

The incident remains under investigation.
