President Donald Trump bragged about “24 Karat gold” finishes used in the White House — and was immediately mocked on social media.

Trump has focused on renovating the White House since the start of his second term in office, including paving over the Rose Garden, constructing a ballroom and adding gold touches to the Oval Office. In a Truth Social post on Sunday, Trump claimed that world leaders praised him for all the gold in the Oval Office.

“Some of the highest quality 24 Karat Gold used in the Oval Office and Cabinet Room of the White House. Foreign Leaders, and everyone else, ‘freak out’ when they see the quality and beauty. Best Oval Office ever, in terms of success and look!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social alongside a video of the gold.
