MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WBAY) - The Milwaukee Bucks general manager Jon Horst told reporters Monday during Bucks Media Day that Giannis Antetokounmpo has COVID, according to reports from The Athletic’s Eric Nehm and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Nehm also reports that Horst clarified Antetokounmpo is still in Greece because he hasn’t been able to travel with COVID.

The Bucks star will miss the start of training camp, the Journal Sentinel reports. The Bucks will open training camp practices in Milwaukee on Sept. 30.

Antetokounmpo played for Greece during the EuroBasket, the European Basketball Championship, earlier this month. The team won their bronze medal game against Finland on September 14.
