OKEMOS — Okemos High School was evacuated the afternoon of Monday, Sept. 29, because of a call about a possible threat, and parents are being asked to "not respond to the high school."

"All students are currently safe with staff at the stadium," the district's 1:40 p.m. Facebook post said. "Families, please do not respond to the high school at this time. We will continue to communicate as we know more about the situation."

Okemos Public Schools' Facebook post said Meridian Township police and other first responders are on the scene. The high school is located at 2800 Jolly Road.
