Edinburgh tennis player James Mackinlay, 25, won his fourth doubles title of the year when he partnered Paisley’s Connor Thomson to victory in the M25 tournament in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
It was also the second time in recent weeks the pair had prevailed in a tournament and James now ranks a career best world No 225.
In the final the Scots duo defeated the Italian combination of Alessandro Coccioli and Lorenzo Lorusso in straight sets.
For Connor Thomson it was a third tournament win of the year including an event at Roehampton in August when teaming up with Mackinlay.
*Jacob Fearnley, also from Edinburgh, has had to delay his comeback from the rib injury which forced him to pull out of Great Britain’s Davis Cup tie against Poland.
