An idle week couldn’t have come at a better time for Louisiana football, as it's still reeling from its Sun Belt Conference opener.
The Ragin’ Cajuns (2-3) had every excuse to lose last week against Marshall, with injuries boiling over, a two-game losing streak and a 17-point deficit to overcome in the second half. None of that mattered, though, as they stormed back to snag their second win of the season.
In the process, they found new life and new potential in sophomore quarterback Lunch Winfield who is likely to assume the starting QB1 role when the Cajuns play again on Oct. 11.
