Oregon is entering a long stretch of cool and rainy weather that ushers in the home stretch of wildfire season, but officials noted that we're still not done yet.
The coast and mountains are forecast to see anywhere from 1 to 2 inches of rain between Sept. 29 and Oct. 2. Inland valleys should see anywhere from 0.5 to 1 inch during the same period, according to the National Weather Service.
The heaviest rain in northwest Oregon is expected the afternoon of Sept. 30 and into Oct. 1.
