The Spring 2026 season of Milan Fashion Week hasn’t been over for a full 24 hours, and the latest coming out of the city is that of Silvia Venturini Fendi stepping down as Fendi creative director. After two seasons presiding over Fendi womenswear, Silvia Venturini Fendi will become honorary president of the Italian fashion house, making way for a new creative director (set to be unveiled in due course). A third-generation member of the founding family, Silvia has shaped its legacy for over three decades, having begun working formally at Fendi in 1992. Back in February , Silvia helped the brand celebrate 100 years with a collection that exuded pure, unapologetic opulence and glamour. “What a wonderful journey it has been,” said Silvia Venturini Fendi via an official statement.
