SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Chatham County jury trial for the 2023 double murder of 16-year-old Semaj Floyd and 20-year-old Omarion Whitfield has been delayed a month.

WSAV spoke with Floyd's aunt, Tiffany Reed, who sent us the following statement:

"The families are ready for it to be over."

Jury selection was slated to begin today as Harold Roberson, 21, Vaquez Coleman, 20, and Joshua Reddick, 24, are facing several charges for the murders of Floyd and Whitfield who were shot on the corner of Amaranth and Perth St. on Dec. 4, 2023.

Court officials cited a change in counsel for at least of the one the defendants as a reason for the delay.
