Running or walking 3.1 miles in the hot weather isn’t easy for some, but for Tina Poland, she’ll sweat through it.
Poland says she’s running to support people in drug recovery, because she was once in the same shoes.
"I was addicted to heroin and crack cocaine, and I will be 8 years sober in October, October 23rd,” said Tina Poland.
She says she started using at the age of 20, and when she turned 30, she said she had to start turning her life around, with some help.
