LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)-- The American Automobile Association (AAA) reports gas prices in Michigan are down 14 cents from last week. Michigan drivers are paying $3.03 per gallon for regular unleaded.

AAA reports this price is 35 cents less than this time last month and 44 cents less than this time last year.

Drivers are paying an average of $45 for a full tank of gas, a discount of about $12 from the highest price recorded in July 2024.

"Drivers across Michigan are seeing lower prices at the pump with many metro areas seeing averages below $3 a gallon," said Adrienne Woodland, spokesperson, AAA-The Auto Club Group, in a news release sent to 6 News.

Most expensive gas price averages: • Ann Arbor: $3.14 • Metro Detroit: $3.11 • Saginaw: $2.98
