London-Bound Flight Diverted After Passengers Eat Passport, Attempt To Flush It Down Toilet

Two “strange" flyers aboard a Milan to London-Stansted Ryanair flight forced the pilot to divert the plane after one of them “ate his passport", while another attempted to flush one down the toilet.

The Daily Star , which first reported the incident, said that other flyers noticed two men began to behave “strange" around 15 to 20 minutes into the journey.

Once the seatbelt signed was switched off, one of the men, seated at the front of the plane started ripping pages out of his passport and started eating them, “freaking out" fellow passengers in the process. While another attempted to “flush his passport down the toilet".
