Millions of birds are expected to fly over the U.S. to reach their migratory destinations, and a sizeable fraction of them will pass through Michigan after the sun goes down on Sept. 29.
Late on Monday, Sept. 29, around 321 millions of birds will fly through the U.S. mostly on the eastern half of the continent. As for Michigan, the region is predicted to see a medium-to-high level of songbirds pass through.
The fall migration remains underway for birds that summer in the northern U.S., Canada and areas around the Arctic Ocean and winter in southern states, or more tropical areas in South America.
