There was no happily ever after for a couple celebrating their wedding after the groom died suddenly.

Ashraf Abu Hakam was dancing with his bride at their wedding in Aswan, Egypt, on Thursday when he collapsed, Gulf News reported.

Hakam was waving a stick while he and wife performed the traditional Egyptian Saidi dance when he collapsed in front of her and their loved ones, according to video obtained by the news outlet.

Guests attempted to revive the groom but they were unsuccessful.

Doctors later confirmed Hakam had suffered a cardiac arrest and died shortly after hitting the ground, the outlet reported.
